Lite-On's require a 3.3v Line and Hitachi doesn't work for an unknown reason.You can use an Xbox 360 to power the drive. This does not work with Lite-On's and Hitachi's. This only requires a DVD Drive power cable and a spare USB cable.CAUTION. If this is the case then you need to buy a VIA 6421a SATA Pci card.
